BVBG: VX Bristol

VX Bristol first came to my attention for their vegan kebabs (as seen on a Wriggle recommended list). We’re lucky enough to be moving to Bedminster imminently, so thought it was a good idea to get the lay of the land, regarding veggie and vegan restaurants.

The breakfast menu (served until 11.30am) looked lush – the offer for a buttie and a cuppa for £4 sounded very tempting. However, we also saw the option for a breakfast burrito, and when presented with a burrito, I can’t say burrit-no! (Sorry, sorry)

The burrito was stuffed with hash browns, sausage, cheese and beans, all encased in a toasted wholemeal wrap. I had a cup of Pukka tea too, with oat milk – a fantastic breakfast.

The burrito was hearty and tasty, and I’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. It’s not bad value either, at £5.50 for the burrito (the sheer size of it makes this value for money). The cafe itself has a good variety of vegan ingredients and treats for sale too – chilled ingredients, chocolate (and an amazing range of cakes on the counter).

Lovely start to a day of packing stuff into boxes – I’m giving VX 8 burritos out of 10!
